abas-USA announced that American Conveyor has chosen abas Business Software as its enterprise software for the future.

The foundation of Ganz Gépgyár Holding can be traced back to the mid 18^th century. As one of the largest heavy machinery manufacturers, the company produces products for rail transport, power generation, water supply, water management, urbanization and environmental concerns. With its qualitative product range it plays a decisive role in the development of the Hungarian infrastructure. With the new Business Software abas Trade, the manufacturer is now able to control inventory, increase on-time deliveries and optimize information access throughout the company, resulting in reduced costs and better service for their clients. The local Software Partner InterJNet Kft. supports the implementation process and the adaption of the software to the company's structure. ABAS Software AG and InterJNet Kft. welcome the new abas users.

Located in Ratchaburi, Thailand, Kijsiam Partworks Co., Ltd. is a known OEM supplier for the automotive industry. Focusing on automotive accessories, they use a computer oriented manufacturing process and equipment, and serve well known international automotive customers. Nationally, the products are distributed through a wide network under the brand name "KSC". Internationally the company also serves ODM products – products that are designed and manufactured for specific requests and eventually branded by another company. With abas ERP, the manufacturer benefits from a very flexible software. While the standard already includes a wide range of functions, the software can be adapted to the company's specific needs. The supporting software partner, Wisdom Information Systems and ABAS Software AG are looking forward to a successful relationship.

Telpa Telecom is a new phone company from Leeuwarden, Netherlands. With the objextive to offer affordable tariffs, various communication services of the provider can be selected and tailored to the user's needs. These services include IP telephony and Internet services, such as Internet access, support, and everything concerning Internet security. With abas Distribution the provider of communication services has opted for a flexible software. The standard version already comprises a wide range of functions specially developed for distribution and service companies. This standard version can be easily and flexibly expanded by company-specific requirements so that the product range policy as well as the consistent customer orientation are supported. Many innovations in the current abas Business Software version make daily work with the ERP system even more efficient and easy. For example, using the portal application, the purchasing and sales employee can now bundle the most important role-based information on one screen.

abas-USA announced that American Vending Sales, Inc. has chosen abas Business Software as its software for the future.

Business is going well at Truplast Kunststofftechnik GmbH, headquartered in Langgöns. The company is a worldwide leader in  developing and manufacturing hoses and hose systems. Truplast products are in demand around the globe and the company is expanding. When the existing company IT, which consisted of many isolated solutions, reached its limits, Truplast started looking for a new, integrated ERP system. After an extensive selection process,  Truplast chose ABAS Projektierung and abas Business Software.

HUMMEL Connector Systems Pvt. Ltd., is a 100% subsidiary of HUMMEL AG headquartered at Denzlingen, Germany. It was established in India in the year 2008. HUMMEL is a manufacturer of Cable Glands, Circular Connectors & Industrial Enclosures.  After three years of their existence, HUMMEL India decided to implement ERP thus chose ABAS as their business software provider. Due to the continuous upgrade strategy of ABAS, HUMMEL India has made a future-proof investment. Trust Automation, Inc. serves customers in the Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Medical Research Equipment and Entertainment industries with qualitative standard products such as amplifiers, motors and controllers and custom made products like Motion Control Components and Motion Control Systems Solutions. With abas ERP, the company, located in California, USA, chose a flexible software solution that adapts to the companies needs. Participants from all over the world visited the Congress Center in Karlsruhe on September 22nd and 23rd to experience the premiere of the new abas 360° customer event by ABAS Software AG. heri Geräte-Produktions GmbH was founded in 1961 in Fischbach, Germany. It was in the same year that the first metal stamping pen was developed. Erich Sartori is one of the technical godfathers of the abas Business Software. Sartori is an IT specialist through and through: ”If I am able to program something complex which I feel will bring the user an advantage, it‘s a great feeling for me.“ He never had the urge to take over managerial organizational responsibility in the past 30 years. He was always drawn toward the challenge of testing his IT skills on a complex task.

”It is always good to simplify complex problems or program solutions. To repeatedly ask oneself – how can I break this down. This is important for a software which has existed for almost 30 years and whose source codes should remain clear. I am happy about each line that I can delete from the code. This is as important for me as entering new lines“, explains Sartori.

Peter Walser has been the Chief Technology Officer of ABAS Software AG since 2007. His rise to the top at the software provider in Karlsruhe was gradual but continuous. In 1983 the computer scientist got to know the company as a student. The foundation for the upgradeable business software had just been laid when he started working in development after finishing his degree. The objective pragmatist developed alongside the growing ERP software and started to be increasingly responsible for product, coordination and employees. He is proud of the upgradeable abas Business Software, "It is our strength that we control the maintenance phase of our software product. This makes abas Business Software unique on the market," summarizes Walser.

"In the spring of 1983 I wanted to earn some money during the semester break for a trip to Ecuador. I found an advertisement from ABAS at the university, they were looking for student assistants. I went there for an interview and they hired me," remembers Walser. "At that time, studies at the university were overly theoretical. In my day we were still working with punch cards during my basic studies. For me it was a real plus to gain some practical experience. The originally planned semester break, quickly became four years at ABAS. From the very beginning I was able to realize small projects, for example, to program a final payment system or to develop the sales order processing for a timber wholesaler. I realized all steps from definition of the project up to completion. This early contact to customers was a huge professional benefit for me. My projects were quickly getting more sophisticated. After four years I decided to resume my studies and to get my degree."

For every chronobiologist dealing with the mechanism of the genetically programmed circadian rhythm and its adjustment to the daytime structure of its environment, Peter Forscht would be a good research object: just as others take the subway to go from work to the gym and then back home, he constantly travels back and forth between continents. This is an ideal characteristic to establish the international abas network.

Do you always remember where you are? "Not always," says Forscht with a smile. "It has happened to me that I arrived at an airport and looked at the display at baggage claim and had to try to remember where I just had come from: Shanghai, Hong Kong, Jakarta?" The passionate marathon runner and paragliding fan continues, "I get nervous when I have to sit in the office for three weeks in a row. I want to get out, plunge into new situations and tackle new challenges. I want to experience something entirely new and find a solution for this situation. This is what I really like to do. This passion is also due to my hobby: brain teasers. In my free time I like to occupy myself with mathematics, theoretical arithmetic and questions such as 'Riemann's conjecture for the zeta-functioning' or the Poincaré conjecture."

With every detail in mind and keeping an overview of his many tasks, that is how many employees see Werner Strub.  He wouldn’t be able to handle the work volume as CEO of the ABAS Software AG in any other way. Unfortunately that leaves little time for his passions: riding motorbikes, paragliding and sailplaning. That despite his many tasks the focus still lies on his employees is noticed when you watch him walking through the corridors of the ABAS Software AG. Each of the around 115 employees in Karlsruhe is greeted by name. Also at the constantly growing events, like the abas Partner Day with around 300 participants and the abas Customer Forum with around 1000 people at times, he personally welcomes customers, partners and employees. He makes no difference when speaking to a manager or an administrator. What he values in a person it not what position they have, but what character they have. If one were to describe the 56 year old in two words, it would be: a character person.

ABAS Force (China) Limited welcomes its new customer Landtop Faist. The company which is located in Beijing/ China designs, manufactures and installs noise control enclosures as well as acoustic test chambers and aero acoustic wind tunnels.

The abas system gmbh welcomes the Metrologie-Service-Braunschweig GmbH (MSB) as a new customer. The recently founded company MSB operates fully automated calibrating systems for the most important inspection, measuring and test equipment in quality assurance. In the future, MSB will control and monitor all cash and goods flow with abas ERP and the integrated document management system from HABEL as well as the abas eBusiness solution.

ABAS Business Solutions Iberica hosted this years customer forum for Spanish clients at the IBM forum in Madrid, Spain. New features and functions of abas ERP linked with tomorrow’s ERP trends and user requirements were highlighted. A series of workshops and presentations about the tools that help mid-market businesses to be more efficient and productive in a global and always changing environment were successfully presented.

ABAS Force China was invited to the “Summit Forum on Growth Power Promotion with informatization, SME of China, 2010”. abas ERP received the “2010 Best Solution Award for China SMEs”. abas Business Software (ERP – PPC – MRP – e Business) is exclusively designed for mid-market companies and fulfils all required SME characteristics.

Sponsored by the China Information Association, "Summit Forum on Growth Power Promotion with informatization, SME of China, 2010” was held in Beijing, China on July 8, 2010. More than 300 people out of various industries attended this summit. Officials and experts from China Information Industry Association, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce, China SMEs Association also participated at this summit and gave lectures.

On June 17, 2010 chairman of the supervisory board, Thomas Frank, and CEO, Werner Strub, reported about the business development of ABAS Software AG at the annual shareholders' meeting.

2009 has been affected by recession and a reluctance to invest. Despite a decrease in turnover of 7.5%, ABAS has managed to remain in positive figures for the sixteenth year in a row.

Global Software Partners from all over the world met in St. Petersburg, Russia to elaborate one high quality standard in global ERP projects to satisfy mid-market companies all over the world.

Newly designed abas tools allow global partners to move stronger and faster in emerging markets and will optimize global implementations, communication within ERP projects and to ensure to deliver a high quality ERP package to mid-markets companies.

Today ABAS announces the opening of ABAS Business Solutions Canada, with offices in Vancouver and Toronto. These new locations will allow ABAS to deliver local services and support to new and existing customers in Canada.
